We can get involved in side projects, start a side hustle, or get involved in our industry outside of work. Another important bit of career advice I have and wish I would have listened to everyone tell me countless times is to network with other professionals. They can also provide a support system and sounding board as you navigate your career.
I wish I had started networking sooner because it would have helped me avoid some of the mistakes I made early in my career and helped with my career success. It would have also opened up more opportunities and helped me meet more like-minded people.

I have made many mistakes in my career, some bigger than others. But every time I make a mistake, I take the time to learn from it. I have analyzed what went wrong and how I could have done things differently. This has helped me avoid making the same mistake in the future and has made me a better professional overall.
